Sports Card

Sports Card-inspired service for Finnish sports clubs.

After witnessing the success of the Museokorti, Mikko Vanni, chairman of the Music Museum Fame, came up with his own product, the Sports Card.

It wasn't long before Devolon, the Museum Card service provider, joined in, and the idea was presented as a service during the workshops.

The service is based on a mobile application in which the user can purchase two or five Sports Card tickets at an affordable price. Then these tickets can be used to redeem tickets for various sporting events - from the traditional Finland-Sweden track and field to the top league of the ball games or even horse racing.

The Sports Card is already valid for the events of about 120 sports clubs and event organizers. On the other hand, the cardholder can also choose different services such as Fressi gym membership or orienteering competitions.

Sports Cards are a complex technical system when compared to Museum Cards. Unlike museums, tickets for sporting events are often purchased in advance, and in most cases, tickets are sold through intermediaries. Therefore, integrations with the systems of key ticket brokers were built for the application.

There are also cases when tickets for events are sold at the door for some events. For them, we had to develop our own solution.
The service also has many details, including the ability to support your favorite club. During registration, you select a club, and a share of all your card purchases is sent to this club. The club also receives a commission if they transfer the cards to their owners themselves.

After the Sports Card sales and ticket redemption sections, a gift card, business sales, news, and benefits sections were added to the service. Devolon working model first defines and creates critical sections and then develops a roadmap for the implementation of additional services. This makes it easier for the customer to access the service earlier and also makes it easier to manage the whole when returning in parts.

Result:

The MVP was built and ready to launch in a very short time of four months. Now the Sports Card is valid for the events of more than 120 sports clubs and other sporting events.

Devolon has remained a Sports Card maintainer and development partner like the Museum Card since the launch.
